DIPLOMA OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
30 Credits
The Diploma in Biblical Studies is a great choice for anyone looking for a focused study of the Bible, an overview of Systematic Theology, and practical ministry training. The diploma is primarily designed for those who live in locations where the completion of General Education credits is difficult. Therefore, to receive this diploma, students are not required to complete General Education credits.
ASSOCIATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
60 Credits
The Associate of Biblical Studies is designed to provide a general knowledge of the Bible and systematic theology as well as ministry skills. This two-year degree is ideal for those serving in the local church or other ministries who want to be further equipped for their calling.
BACHELOR OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
120 Credits
The Bachelor of Biblical Studies is designed to provide a deeper knowledge of the Bible and systematic theology as well as ministry skills. The curriculum leading to the BABS degree is a 120-unit course of instruction designed to develop Christian character, a sound knowledge of the English Bible, and the skills appropriate for ministry in a local church, mission field, or other Christian ministry.
GRADUATE STUDIES AT CBCS:
MASTER OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
48 Credits
The Master of Biblical Studies is designed for those seeking ministry opportunities in the local church or in other Christian ministry and is a stair-step degree for those who desire to continue their studies in the Master of Divinity degree.
MASTER OF CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
48 Credits
This is a “Honorary” degree given to ministry leaders chosen by the President of CBCS, who have been serving the local church for at least 20 years. The requirement is the submission of a ministry portfolio documenting their work and service for the Kingdom of God.
MASTER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
48 Credits
The Master of Religious Education is a professional theological degree designed to prepare individuals for leadership roles in Christian education and discipleship ministries, focusing on equipping students for professional teaching ministry, often requiring prior experience or training in education.
MASTER OF PASTORAL COUNSELING
41 Credits
The Master of Pastoral Counseling is designed to equip individuals for ministry roles involving counseling and integrating biblical principles with practical counseling skills to address the spiritual, emotional, and relational needs of individuals and families.

NOTE: It is important to note that while a grade of “C” is passing for all undergraduate level courses (Diploma, Associates & Bachelors), a grade of at least “B” must be maintained in graduate level studies (Masters & Doctors) in order to pass.

When you order books from the Congregational Library, please be as specific as possible. You should mention the author, book title and/or topic. For example, instead of requesting “Pastoral Counseling”, ask for “Pastoral Counseling with the Aged”. You may keep their books for four weeks from the day you receive them. Renewals can be had by letter or phone if no other reader is waiting for the book you wish to renew.
